1:1 Singing and Acting/Communication lessons
We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality, yet affordable and accessible performing arts lessons. Taught by performer and vocal/acting coach, Georgia Oldman.
Georgia trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, the UK’s leading school for Musical Theatre. There, she graduated with a first class honours degree. During training she received the BBC performers Scholarship and the Laurence Olivier Bursary award. As a performer, she has worked across musicals, plays, concerts and cabarets as a performer, vocalist and actor. Alongside performing, Georgia has always worked as a singing teacher and acting coach. She is a certified Vocal Health first aider, holds a full enhanced DBS check and is Level 3 first aid trained. Georgia also holds a certificate in inclusive teaching, ensuring any barrier to learning that a pupil may have can be overcome. Georgia specialises in contemporary singing alongside Musical Theatre, but is very experienced in teaching all styles and genres, from rock to classical!
Georgia’s teaching style is positive, student centred and full of energy! At Ragtime, we believe a student can only learn when they feel safe and trust their teacher. Then we can work on building self confidence, skills and technique!
We work with all the main examining boards, such as LAMDA, London college of music, Rock School and Trinity, to ensure every student is working towards a qualification they can enjoy and excel in, and that meets their own individual talents and passions. Whether the student is a contemporary pop vocalist, a budding Musical Theatre performer, or a straight actor, we use a child centred approach to create a bespoke lesson just for them.
Exams are entirely optional, and every student will get a chance to perform in our annual showcase, where friends and family can come and see what we get up to in our lessons!
